Must get that series on DVD before it's banned. (Was surprised 'It ain't half hot mum' was still available).

Cells have arrived and look new with no marks on the terminals. They have each passed my 0.5 ohm resistor shorting test with 6 amps and no loss of voltage. I’ve taken the Pylontech battery bank out of circuit whilst the battery bank voltage was 52.5V so each cell in the Pylontech's should be around 3.5V. :geek:

Made up a couple of copper bus bars and am currently pumping 10A into them to raise their voltage to 3.5V to match. I've now upped the battery inverter charge voltage to 56V and when it hits that tomorrow with the Growatt battery strings I will add the cells into the Pylontech string and switch the isolator on.

Very interested to see the photos when back in Scotland. This sounds similar in part to my expansion plan, thanks for trailblazing Nowty, takes a lot of the stress off!

Still charging the cells, I worked out its 20 hours or so to get them to 3.5V with my bench power supply. Should get there today, once they have reached 3.5V I will wire them in and then I'll throw the switch. :?

You KNOW I'll be picking your brains on this!.I sent a mail off to Shenzen this morning to get some pack dims so I can work out maximum potential capacity.on the spare piece of wall beside the Pylontechs. I am hoping for around 200Ah extra storage. That would put me up around a 24kWh storage bank and that would make us multi day possible.

Getting very impatient with watching these 4 cells charge in parallel, 3.5V x 10A = 35W
And my remaining Growatt battery banks are already at 55V with todays crazy sun.

So I've temporarily reconfigured them in series to make 14V x 10A =140W
Four times the charging POWA.

Just got to be careful not to short them out with the copper strip. :?

Damn, wish I could see your work Nowty! I am enquiring on.price incl shipping for 15 of 3.2V lifepo4 prismatics to a total capacity of 200Ah. I shall report back with the price.
At the moment my stack of 6 us2000 is 300Ah and on the insane prices seen would cost me around 9 grand. Another 200Ah would be a further 6 grand. Top end prices but just for reference....
