I feel it will have to happen one way or another, Hunterston B is being decommissioned early in the new year, Hinkley Point B is being decomissioned mid next year, Hartlepool and Heysham 1 are currently fecked and being decommissioned within a couple of years anyway.

Not much of the UK Nuclear fleet left.

Oh absolutely - I suspect that EDF will get Sizewell C and probably Wylfa as well, it's just a question of whether China gets to be involved or not.
