Another heater added to the family, I do like the 4 hr cheap slot from octopus so another heater added.
It’s in the ground floor hallway, so hoping heat will migrate around some of the ground and first floor.
I’m seriously impressed with the last one that I fitted to my sons room, it does even put temperatures and provides a consistent temperature.

Great to see, they are excellent bits of kit. The last one taking a daily charge at my house is the central unit (2,550W). As smack bang in centre of house as I can make it. Also in the same space as the Hive control so switches the GCH off quicker in morning. I'm a fan of that and SWMBO hasn't caught on yet.
Charges 23.30 to 04.30 and still outputting at 90 degs at 16.30.

Not long ago SH on cheap rate we’re cheaper than HP on peak and cheaper than gas too. (7.5p/kWh off peak electric, vs 40p/kWh peak electric with CoP of 4 = 10p/kWh, vs 10p/kWh gas @ 80% efficiency = 12.5p/kWh).
Nowadays Octopus Go has a 12p/kWh cheap rate and Octopus Tracker for gas is below 6p/kWh.

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
1st charge last night and everything worked well, considering it was in the garage for a bit, cleaned up all the contacts, tightened everything so all good, had to borrow a smart plug from another heater( delivery due to day on these)
With the input/output settings as per the attached the consumption was as per the tado screenshot.
13% reduction in gas consumption from the previous week so that’s a good start.
9% reduction in electricity consumption even with another storage heater added so that’s positive too.
Got a double glazed unit to fit over the existing single glazed window above the front door, not as much fun to fit as storage heaters and some timber needs painting first of all so that’s the next job
Main bathroom towel radiator has a 600watt electric element in the side of it, so guess that’s next for the smart socket!
Need to alter the wiring as its in a switched spur, so think that’s another one, and one SWMBO would like with it drying towel when the heating season is off
