It is an astonishing upgrade. My 2 of 2.5Ah 18v.units processed all of this, this afternoon. Then they gave 1st of 3 warning signal so they're now on charge. Average dia is 6-7".

No 2 stroke! Solar powered! Rather amazed at a mighty 4.35kWh power off the PV today and that powered the hydraulic log splitter and the chainsaw charging. Also lifted the battery SOC from 82% earlier in the day to 88% at close even with SWMBO firing up the iron. This is excellent!

Had a good run of the twinpack chainsaw today.




Effortlessly created this pile of logs for splitting using two of 2.5Ah and two of 3.0Ah batteries which were then all solar charged. Such an easy tool to use and weighs almost nothing. A few hours work with my 62cc Hyundai 2 stroke saw gives me elbow joint twinges and normally need deep heat on the lower back. Not a thing today, well worth a look if you are in the market for a battery chainsaw. Max log dia cut today, over 9" hardwood.

My little battery lawnmower with a single battery charge , cuts the lawn in one go , if i hurry up so on that one too more efficient

Had a very nice day/night in a Winter Wonderland here in Scotland. Game on for PV & Wind yet there has been such a cooking & kettle fallback saving ensuring the battery stack remains strong.
Admittedly in this minus 3 scenario we have dipped down to 22%SOC in stack, gas has momentarily kicked in for GCH, yet... total GCH use lower zone in last 7 days? 1 hour!

Enjoyed making up our next set of firestarter tubes. Cleared the PV this morning to a very satisfying crump noise as the snow slid off in induced sheets. 8.5kWh day too! Lamb balti WS cooked at the same time!

Same here, garage PV was producing about 1800W, but caravan port PV was only about 60W, snow removed and up to 4600W.

So, what’s the recipe Joe ? Loo roll tube, woodchips/sawdust and ? binding agent ?

Looroll and compacted wood chips from the logging process. Held together with pressure only. There's a surprising amount of woodchips going into each one and tamped down, i use my fingers , swmbo uses a hammer shaft, team effort! Today felt like a true offgrid day, quite wonderful!
