It is now more than our annual electric bill + gas standing charge (we are trying to not use any gas).
Our average rate on Go Faster, for all imported electric, is less than 6p/kWh, compared to the return of over 9p/kWh for estimated generation from WT1.
Not a bad return & a very pleasant surprise.
Snap, life's a b1tch ain't it. ;)

Gaz is £300 in credit and my bill is now almost fixed at £10 a month as I now only use gas for some cooking.

Leccy is £500 in credit and like you say the bill is soon to go seriously negative.

My Solar PV FITs this year will be around £3,300 a year with 13 more years to run, so some of this years FIT income will be recycled into WT2 for diversity, redundancy and that little bit of extra power.

And yet some people still call this stuff "the green crap".

Nothing yet. I think it will be announced on back of WT1 energising 1st week March?

I suspect its going to be aligned with the big switch on for max publicity and also after the April OFGEM price cap increase announcement. It was in early Feb last year.

Excuse my french, but I fudgging hope not, sooner rather than later as stated before there is a big pile on, I anticipate there will be a big pile on regardless, they seem to be changing goalposts without telling folk the only updates are from within Camelot it seems, January is coming to an end that was meant to be the kick off point for WT2 as I recall.

I asked the question a couple of weeks ago before I paid the reservation for WT2 and was told the end of January for the new share offer document.

The current published operational date for WT2 is Dec 2023 so don't get too excited, its going to be a long wait, potentially even longer than WT1.

I imagine multi-site turbines for WT2 could add a layer of complexity and would take longer to fund.

It's not the initial crank date Nowty, its the buy in, I want to get started so it has momentum, statements of intent maintained & hopefully therefore showing as immediately a decent prospect when they go to the media for saturation if that time-point looks like the plan
