I was apprehensive about start-up issues but it just started working once AC isolator then DC isolator were turned on.
That is bloody marvellous, it's SUCH a good feeling to throw those switches and it just silently begins working for you. No dramas, just steady graft for the next 30 (at least). :D

Just ordered a Victron 150/60 smart charge controller to take advantage of the extra capacity PV! Bought from Grant at Bimble. Very professional, excellent comms.

I'll have a look when I get home to check existing gear for fragility in the Amps overage i'll now be putting in. :)

If anyone is fancying a lightly used 1 year old Victron 150/35 smart charge controller with bluetooth, run in a cool garage & of known provenance with paperwork, get in touch. It will be available start Nov.

It’s a pity that most of your adventures disappeared in a life before Camelot Joeboy. I was impressed by how fast you got stuff done. Myself, I’m thinking a lot about batteries now. David Poz on Youtube has given me ideas.

Nowty very kindly sent me a file of the original system extension thread. I plan on making up a combi post during Winter for anyone that wants a wee idea or guide to go by for their own adventure.

I'd be interested to hear your battery ideas?

Ha Ha, you couldn't resist! Just when the super low £/W 495W JA Solar panels are sold out everywhere!

When do you get back to sunny Scotland?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

We are home 22nd Oct, SWMBO will have a wee jobs list for me I'm sure! :) It's a travesty to watch it hitting the 35A limit and wondering what it could actually do?

So both my predictions came true then.

From memory, you were at the limit with those blade fuses, I recommend you upgrade to forklift fuses.

TBH, I can't remember what we went up to last time in the Keto. The top end is at 165A for those fuses in that unit I think. Likely we fitted 125A fuses?
My Tuborg addled mind tells me that (9000W/100×85)/48V=159A. I will be knocking 5A off on the Victron to align with the 4mm cable 55A max on the 2nd system cable run to garage. Call it 155A max if I can squeeze 85% out of both systems at the same time. It's close and as the PV is facing in so many directions its unlikely I'll see 90% of whole at any single point. I think I'm game to fit the 165A fuses and see how it plays out? Open to All advice! :)
P.S Absolutely correct, how could I not?

No, I'm talking about the 32A Bussman fuses from the Victron Charge Controller as thats as high as they go.

And I also meant a higher than 60A fuse such as, https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/car-fuses/2260872/

But the fuse base is still correct https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/3809923/

The Keto is for your GoodWe or you could use another Keto if you have the space.

Your fuses for the Victron output were / are these (that's your photo !).

Jings, forgot about them! Cheers Nowty. I will sit down next couple of days and look at the links and purchase accordingly. Just goes to show, a little knowledge can be massively hazardous when remote planning! Thanks again!

Also going to upgrade deck box as it's a little tight in there now with 4 strings. I think i'll go to busbar connections instead of choc bloxs. Defo finished after this! :)

Note to self and all others, NEVER let a clanky plan a Sparky job from another country after beers. The chances of success are deeply, deeply remote :)
