Too cold and damp to bbq this evening. 8 skewerd kebabs and a dozen sausages on. There is still one level that could have been filled, easiest cooking i've ever done!
oh ,than i was lucky Yesterday , with the weather But i think i have to work on a more efficient small BBQ idea

When are you swapping the gas hob for a proper induction hob?
No hurry, when SWMBO fancies it.

What an absolutely effortless joy this induction hob is to cook on! Heading back to France in a week so thought i'd challenge myself to a BIG batch cook to keep son fed while we are away. Did a bacon based arabiatta sauce with the Scotch Bonnet twist and blackened garlic. Enough for at least 20 people.
Just great fun to do, no excess heat in the room, quiet and controllable. It's just sitting there bubbling gently at setting 2.
The true answer Stinsy is ASAP but SWMBO must lead on this. If I try and push? No chance!

Well there's a surprise, the magic of induction hob cooking has worked its wiles on SWMBO. Got the go ahead to fit a simple 4 ring hob to see how it goes. One more step to a gas free environment. We will keep the portable induction hob too so she can be a 6 ring induction hob girl and I can cook in the garage off the battery stack and 2kW Inverter in event of a powercut.
This unit, cheap as. Test run and see how long it lasts.

I had problems steaming veg with single pot trial hob, not fine enough adjustment and the pre programmed controls were not better, so let us know how it goes because I would like to change our ceramic hob for something more economic.
