G99 fast track

#1

Post by pattisd »

Hi

I'm trying to see if the following is eligible for G99 fast track application ...

Existing system: SolarEdge Inverter SE3300 (Rated AC Power Output 3300 W, Max continuous output current 16A). This was installed under G98.

New: 2 Lux Squirrel pods LXP 3600 ACS (each ... Max. AC Output Power to Utility 3600VA, Max AC Output Current to the Utility Grid 16A). They are G98 and G100.

The installer confirmed these can be installed under the fast track option of G99 (they are fully aware of my current PV install).

Just want to be sure they are correct and I'm not going to have to use the full G99 application when the time arrives.

My main concern is the "Is the combined installed capacity of your power generating modules greater than 16 Amps but less than 32 Amps per phase?" criteria. I'm assuming the power generating modules equate to the SE3300 inverter + LXP 3600 ACS + LXP 3600 ACS. So, I expected a total output of 16+16+16A. So not sure why they are saying it can be fast tracked?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Your right, its not eligible for fast track G99 but if only a single Lux Squirrel pod was installed it would be.

But the full G99 may still be fine with the DNO.

Your installer might be hinting you only put the one Squirrel pod on the form. ;)

Thanks for the response.

Glad I had understood it well enough. I may have given the wrong info for the Squirrel pods, as I spoke to someone at infininityinnovations who confirmed they are only 13A. But that still takes it to 32. and I think the cutout is "less than 32" - so just missing out by a whisker

I think they are talking about the max charge rate of the batteries which is 3kW which works out around 13A. The AC output is still 36000VA or 16A in the datasheet. The actual output amount per unit might also be limited by the size of battery stack your going for but its the potential of the unit that the DNO is concerned about.
