Did some stats today on my 3 year ownership (so far) of my Tesla Model 3.
Have driven 34,698 miles, consuming 9,398kWh of electricity at a lifetime consumption of 269 Wh/mile.
That equates to an equivalent of 150 MPG if you assume 40.44 kWh of energy per UK gallon of petrol.
I've also only spent £644 on public charging in all that time - with a total of 2725kWh coming from paid public sessions. The rest has been surfing free charging points like supermarket PodPoints, opportunistic charging at home with the 3pin plug, and for the last 12 months, charging at work since we got 2 EV chargers installed which is free for employees who have EVs. (Solar PV install coming this month at the office).
The efficiency of EVs compared to fossil burning ICE motors is really rather striking.
