Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
Yes. that's right.
We've been handed back a faulty car that go's wrong every 24 hours (by their own admission)
They asked us to pick the car up on sunday, we did.
We took it under duress..
The software engineers are "looking into it" still, with no resolution.
Wife is not going to be happy (I can see tears of frustration tonight as she's utterly worn down,
Their were "pinched wires in the loom which (haven't got wifes phone to check work done / not) but essentially that has not solved the problem..
So they are asking us to drive the car that could easily get damaged again & have said "your damage your problem"
It is out of the hands of Tesla Northampton (now washing their hands)
It is in the hands of the management who have ignored us for so long.
So much for giving Tesla a chance to make good.
Callous.

Re: Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
sounds like the sort of thing where social media can cause a storm and get the company to re-think... or maybe a broadcast consumer programme?
Some of the papers have consumer champions who like following this sort of thing up.
I take it you just want your money back - or a (preferably different) car which works.

It should be basic customer service, not this viking length saga.AE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 11:33 am sounds like the sort of thing where social media can cause a storm and get the company to re-think... or maybe a broadcast consumer programme?

Right now having just got off the phone with Dirk, who understands my anger but "hands tied" has passed it to the "ever silent"
management.
I insisted (ha) on a call today from management, he agreed to pass it onward, I then asked from whom I could expect a call from..
"tom, but he's on maternity leave" said dirk.
Tough luck, call him it's his problem now! (i'll invite him to take his newborn out in our car if he's so sure of it's 100% working status & safety standards.. maybe his wife who has done all the work would care for some input as to driving it with "precious cargo"? (every life, right, but not in tesla management eyes, as either a driver or some pedestrian / cyclist / "human" the car software screws over)
Swills, no, selling a knowingly faulty AF car? ..who am I "TESLA" !?

Re: Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
I had a look and found this: https://www.theguardian.com/money/2021/ ... ent-damage from 2021
Back in 2018 the Sunday Times ran a story about the problems that Tesla owners were having getting their vehicles fixed after accidents, and your story suggests this is still an issue – no doubt made worse by the current worldwide supply chain problems. One of the problems with the latest cars is that they are packed with electronics, which are easily damaged, and expensive and complicated to fix after even minor prangs.
I repeatedly asked Tesla about your case. It has not responded, but I gather that is normal for this company. Last October it reportedly eliminated its PR department.
However, I was at least able to get you your car back. No one was available at the body shop at Werren’s to discuss your case. But they did indicate they were waiting for authorisation from your insurer Admiral to release the car, so I called it. Mysteriously, a couple of hours later it was released, so at least you have it back. Admiral has apologised for the delays, said it was investigating what went wrong, and has offered you £200 compensation.
In terms of the finance, I would ask for at least two months’ repayments to be returned. A car that cannot be repaired in a timely manner is arguably not fit for purpose. If you and Tesla cannot agree an outcome, let the Financial Ombudsman Service adjudicate. Have any other Tesla owners experienced this, too?

Re: Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
I don't get why you are so bothered. The system doesn't prevent damage and a car about town is subject to such damage all the time. In the other thread you couldn't even be bothered to follow my troubleshooting steps.
Now if you have a real issue with the car you'll be in a pickle as a problem customer and everyone is upset.
If you really are aggreived take it to the next stage and involve a mediator at £200 ph and then a solicitor.

Re: Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
Does your wife work for the NHS? Is this a salary sacrifice car (if not, why not?). Can't she just complain to the lease company?
Re: Tesla essentially just told us to "Go Fcuk ourselves"
Smegal.
Nope, this is the second EV we've bought & owned on the basis of her job at the time & likely soon again as a nurse specialist that takes her up & down the country, beyond the range of the gen 1, 24 kWh leaf.
We looked at pretty much everything available in 2020 before picking it up in march 2021
