This a battery pack.
Disquised as a car.
You pop it on an EV 10p kW tarrif for it.
You can then microgrid the house and use it as power storage for the house.
Charge overnight.
Draw during the day.
And you can nip to the shops in your battery pack. The residual value is higher when you want to upgrade your batteries.
Comes with its own shed.

Prices of pre-owned/used/2nd hand EV's has dropped a lot recently. There was a piece on Radio 4 recently speaking to car dealers that had got their "fingers burnt" and were having trouble shifting the cars and selling them below what they had paid for them.
There is an 2021 MG5 with 5000 miles on eBay ( from a dealer) for £16499. OK it is a CAT S or N but has been repaired. Shame its only the 52kWh version and not the 61kWh otherwise I might have been tempted.
The Leaf is interesting - with 132,000 miles I doubt it still has it's original range , earlier Leafs didn't look after their batteries that well, but even so if it wasn't so big and butt ugly again I would be interested. It would be interesting getting an inverter to connect so you could run the house, I am sure someone has done it already.
I keep looking for a "cheap" Zoe that is not "battery lease" but they are still too much money.
