Last nights super moon eclipse

#1

Post by Moxi »

Wifey woke me up and kicked me out of bed this morning at 4 o'clock to see some of the super moon eclipse, it was the first time she had mentioned it to me  it was a fantastic clear night and the moon was extremely bright but had a clear bite out of the 2 o'clock position, I sat in total quiet for a while looking at the stars and the moon but eventually when back in as progress was glacial and I was flagging.

Wifes on crutches at the moment with a torn ligament in her foot so she stayed in bed and slept through it but I was thankful she had woken me up to see some of it. Sadly due to the brightness and my crap skills with the camera my snaps didn't come out sufficiently good - I maybe need to download an app with filters next time.

Got up in time to see the moon just starting to dip over the Wicklow mountains across the bay and it still looked huge.

The moon was pretty super last night but we did not see the lunar eclipse as I believe that was early morning. But the setting sun was magic last night but probably because of the coal that Poland burns.
