Octopus Go

Post by Moxi »

Just checking with the more au fait Octopus users if I can please, once I have a smart meter am I right to think that I can apply to go on Octopus Go and charge my EV with a dumb charger whilst I work towards getting a smart charger fitted so that I can switch over to IOG and the xtra hour and slightly lower rate?

That's what I did Moxi, my 1st charger was a dumb unit then I installed a Omhe Home Pro to get onto IOG.

Mind you that is the slightly lower import rate but much increased export rate.

Correct.

5hrs of 9p/kWh vs 6+ of 7p/kWh IIRC.
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
