Re: Model Y is available
The colour says "Grey" when you get your V5.
Nice one matey, you know it makes sense, ohhhhh and 20 inch wheels. I nearly went for the larger wheels myself but I have no issue with the standard ones, handling still great and ride is more comfortable than my focus, but I have to admit, the larger ones do look nice on that model Y.
I note it says. early 2022, hope thats not like the Ripple Wind turbine forecasted dates.
Obviously, look forward to hearing about it.
Did you take advantage of the interest free loans you Scots get ?

Cheers! I gave SWMBO the wheel choice! Unerringly to the pricey option. I'm not going for the loan as that's just not me. Thought about it though.nowty wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 9:45 amThe colour says "Grey" when you get your V5.

A sale of Shell shares while in Crete funds this. I hope the irony is obvious?
I'm easy on the timeline. Seen some of the Singapore RHD Y's so the line is running. Wonder if I was 1st in Scotland to order? No matter, excited!

You never know, you might be offered Elon Maroon as a colour option for being first
Re: Model Y is now available uk.
Strange u mention that... I had read the 'amazing paint booth' stuff last week and had given some thought to waiting to see how that played out. Then of course I'm in the land of procrastination which may never end so I just dropped the hammer on met silver. Quite a thing to buy a car, over the phone, during morning coffee, in a foreign country. A strange sensation indeed!Bugtownboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 10:57 am You never know, you might be offered Elon Maroon as a colour option for being first

Just checked and they are offering me £11.5k trade in on the Leaf. That's nuts, will pursue on return home.

Re: Model Y is now available uk.
Just as bad as me buying the second most expensive thing after the house by pressing a few online buttons after half a bottle of red whilst SWMBO was away at her daughters.
Although at that stage my only loss would have been the non refundable £100 deposit if I had backed out.
When I broke the news to SWMBO on her return she screamed, I was thinking, is that a good scream or a bad scream. Turned out to be a good scream so we opened a bottle of standby champers.
There is always a standby bottle of both champers and prosecco in the fridge at Nowty Towers.

Wifey and I were playing on the site this morning, choosing options. With the MIC (made in China) models we'd go for base white then get a wrap, as there's a company near us that have done some gorgeous colours. Or wait for Berlin, and see what these new deep colours are, and how much extra they cost.
But we are still joking about getting a TMY (to replace the TM3) for her birthday in a year's time, so no rush, and I've also made the psychological decision to get one if the TSLA share price hits $850.
Spent last winter/Xmas cladding and insulating the cat rescue building to help assuage my guilt at spending insane money on my mid life crisis toy - not sure how I'll balance the guilt scales on another one!

Re: Model Y is now available uk.
After seeing Chinese built M3's in Aberdeen any worries I had are gone. If by next Spring the car comes off the line early from Berlin I'll be ok with that too. SWMBO has a brutal eye for detail. Best they get it right or they have no idea what's coming! Now I've ordered it I am chIlled.Mart wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 12:52 pm Wifey and I were playing on the site this morning, choosing options.
