In from the darkness

#1

Post by Joeboy »

Hi lads,
My names Joe and I'm heavily into RE and how I can work it in my life. I worked as an engineer in the Oil & Gas industry for most of my adult life, I took early retirement as I really couldn't think the 2 ways any more. I've been playing about with RE since i first got my hands on a bicycle dynamo as a wee lad, the last 8 years or so i've been steadily reducing our carbon footprint and I like that. I'm here to learn more, help out where I can and enjoy my time here, cheers! :D

Aye Sunrise, it's going well. A pyramid scheme that works! All those ongoing annual tonnes of pollutants that we are avoiding. The more the merrier! (Tonnes & people).

Just glad to be here. :)
Enormously proud of every interaction we all have as it lays a common trail for others to pick up on, enjoy and hopefully come onboard themselves and bring their ideas with them.

I forget the name. But I always enjoyed the contributions of the ferryman with his BEV ferry in the Scottish islands. I don't believe he is here (and if he is, he isn't contributing to the same extent).

Not sure, Gus & I talked about Biff last night. He seems to be absent as is PhillipR and a few of the mods from the old place. My understanding is that they (the mods) were threatened with legal action when they set up the interim board between then and now and that was pretty much that. They'd had enough. I like to think they are some of the guests we see floating in an out.

Maybe they will register under new names and increase the Borg IQ, who knows?

That is us in year two now and it seems to be going well. Galahad catches the fly guys that try and take an advantage and bans them straight off and the board members take care of themselves internally so no need for mods.

The Green living Forum was instrumental as an island & waypoint at the start so Thanks to them too. Its a damn good forum if you don't know it and are seeking advice out with what we can cover or just for a change.

https://www.thegreenlivingforum.net/forum/index.php

This place only work if we are all in it and help each other out, that certainly looks the way it IS working so thanks to you all to for all your contributions in the last Year+. :)

To any Shyguys sitting on the outside? Register, get intae it, don't hang back. It will be all the better for you input. Cheers! :D :ugeek:

Do we have CharlieB, and PDF?

I used to have the contact details for PDf and PhilipR, it may be worth me trying to dig them out and dropping them a message.

I've also got CharlieB's number

Think PDF has posted - certainly on a non associated forum I frequent. He always sounded very busy - family, new home/ ? new build and work.

Do think he’s still about.

The other key guy was Andrew - moved to Eire, can’t remember his forum (the other one) name. But was very close to proper information.

Sorry if that’s a bit flakey, all I can remember
