Octopus Winter Workout - Gas Reduction

#1

Post by nowty »

Shame I am not with Octopus for my gas as I am doing this already, gas boiler still switched off in December !

Also shows they are not likely to go bust if they are giving away a £1m prize pool.

Still I've just remembered my father has his gas with Octopus so I'll sign him up !

Done!

Just told the Mrs that we’re turning the heating off ‘till March to win £1m.

It didn’t go down as well as I hoped.

Just wondering whether this is a novel risk reduction exercise, like its worth it to Octopus if they loose over £1m less on wholesale gas prices if they persuade their customers to use less gas.

But whether it is or not, its the sort of thing I love about Octopus which you don't see from the likes of the other big boys.

F that @ octopusenergy (also our supplier).

Biting the hand that feeds you, by bypassing much of your pre-existing customer base who you deem (it seems) second class service paying citizens.
It's "cleverbollocks" marketing bias & apparent condescension that lowers you to The ranks of "just another energy company" from here on in.

Like you stepped in dog**** & chose to walk it into your mates mum's carpet!

Speak up..

Gus, what are ye talking about? While power companies are falling like shot ducks (a poor one i know) Octopus are fielding an idea to harness our competitive streak(s) and Lower the FF carbon count. I don't know what the profit is in it for them. Maybe its the higher ground and they are actually trying to trim the FF flowing through their books? I am literally like this.... :D
