Capacity 2 ..yes, 2 litres.
A cycle takes as much as 6 hours

Stuff that I will stick with the wormery thanks - takes much longer but you get a liquid feed and vermicompost and it doesn’t use them precious Electron’s- lots of commercial options to buy or any stackable containers will do the job. I’m actively searching the beach at this time of year for lost fish boxes from trawlers as I need to add a layer to my wormery to increase production.

Also there is always the other option in the summer months of an anaerobic digester - again lots of ways of making them with skip won materials and the “tea” is a good liquid feed and with some work the digester gas can be accumulated at a reasonable pressure to use.

For the price of that unit I see more useful PV deployed but I appreciate in city’s and towns it may appeal to some …..

yeah, wormery works for us too (pestle & mortar those egg shells)

But this things eco design really takes the p155 to me when you consider the small size yet high power demand.

Wonder what its post 2021 energy rating is deemed to be?

I got excited for a moment there. Thought it was an anaerobic digester. But it just dehydrates your food scraps and sends the water into your home. Consuming a huge amount of energy in the process.

My council collects food waste weekly -it all goes into an anaerobic digester. It means my compost bin doesn't get much in the winter.

Another very expensive chocolate teapot in my opinion. Why do people get sucked in? (Our council also collects ours and composts it).
