Two pictures around the same time of evening three days apart, the brighter glow ( sorry can’t think of the right term ) corona ?? Possibly due to the Sahara dust storm maybe ?

I will pop out at sunset to see if I can get a like for like comparison.

I’m certainly getting extra solar because of the scatter this evening.

Left it a bit late but if you zoom in close to the sun under the cloud layer you can see the shoulder of the Wicklow’s mountains

The dust was accumulating in some areas on my car today, washed into sand dunes by the drizzle.

Put some in a little glass jar and keep it as a memento of when the Sahara visited Nowty towers - oh yes you are THAT famous!

Some interesting video clips here - seems it's over quite a lot of Europe.

By contrast after the heavy rainfall last night, the skies here in SW London this morning are beautifully clear.
