Just received the email myself and peak rate is dropping by about 3.5p too.
I fecked up the other night and accidently imported about 10 kWh on peak cos I for got to re-programme my battery inverter.

And apparently I've heard that standard Octopus Go cheap rate is dropping from 9p to 8.5p but also gaining an extra hour of cheap rate from 00:30 to 05:30.
Possibly to compete with British Gas which offers 5 hours cheap rate on its EV tariff.

That is so annoying when you forget to change a schedule.
I’ve had a couple of slots when I’ve been charging the batteries using peak electric, fortunately only 3-4 kWh this month.

If you realise in the same half hour slot it can often be rectified by requesting a charge session ASAP before the half hour slot ends, but in this case it had been importing for 2 hours and the time was exactly 21:30.

Nice! I look forward to joining the fray soon on the outgoing side of things. Finally got an appointment for No1"s place to be fitted with a smart meter. Going in on 30th July.
