Thanks Stinsy...

Glass unit out... Then screw through the frame into the corner post to bring them together?

Edit... Ignore me... I've been on nights and half asleep. It's an opening. Hehe

Trapezoidal frames are in Aberdeen, correct size too apparently! Nice that KSM contacted us to let us know. Hopefully all will be here for tail end April and they can complete the job.

Upstairs which has the best insulation, physics and complete 3G in the home we are pretty much a consistent 24hr 19 degs. We now isolate by closed door otherwise it ramps up to potentially uncomfortable in bedroom. Nice to have that coolside barrier.

Incredibly early in year to be having this sort of climate in any part of the home. Bedroom radiator is set to almost off too.

Dipped into Alice in Wonderland territory now. 4.060kWh in 24hrs. House is at 18 degs, hwt is at 65degs with one shower per day. HC set to 0.25 Trying at 0.2 now. 0.25 is fine combined with some solar gain. Tried before at 0.2 and it was too much of an ask.

Nice, my install starts Monday.

PS Had someone tell me today I will regret getting a heat pump installed as they don't work

I guess they don't know what a "heat pump" IS. Don't realize that THEY have them in their house. Working just fine, thank you, pumping heat out from the inside of an insulated into the room -- so the inside of the box stays cold and the can keep food cold or frozen.

I didn't really get chance to explain, he made a quick exit when I said he was totally wrong, the bizarre thing is he said he runs his boiler 24/7 in the winter so it must have a low flow temperature, unless he just thinks having turned on is 24/7 running.

A couple of days with a 0.2HC setting back home in Scotland.

Image

I seem to remember hoping to see a 7kWh day as a possible extreme best day?

3.5kWh for single person HW and to maintain 18 degs in a 5 bed house is so far beyond where I hoped to get to its ridiculous.

A few duller days incoming so we'll see how it copes without the solar gain.. :ugeek:

The a2a's here in Turkey have done a splendid job of bringing the whole place up to 21 degs.Solar gain is now on so they have fallen silent(er). Doing a bit of painting and some new bedroom furniture to order in Marmaris tomorrow along with a washing machine. It's been a few years since we had to spend here.

Bought 15ltrs of high quality paint yesterday. HUGE tub, hardware shop guy simply gave me his car keys to run the tub up to our place. :D

Trying out 0.15 HC. It worked yesterday but there was quite a solar gain lift. Today will be it's test as currently 4 degrees and cloud with 11 deg max forecast.

Image

House is at 17.6 trying for 18. I think it's too much of an ask at 0.15 with the remaining 2g leakage in the big lounge and the crap front door.

At least we'll have a stable ref point to compare to once the 3g is complete. Will ask today for a confirmation date of installation.
