Damn, I'm going to need some next year but no where to store them in the mean time. Guess I'll have to wait until the next Black Friday. I've priced the 100mm boards at £31 each delivered. I'd be happy with that.

The only downer is that the guys have to go to another job for the next couple of days, This was sprung on us and I've made it clear that i'm unhappy with the owners style of communication. Lack of thought for client life and other commitments.
Who did you go for in the end? I speed read the thread but might have missed if you said.

Received a very sorry, we're working on it mail last night which read as heartfelt. They have been absolutely excellent in all other aspects. :D

At the end of the day I have no doubt we'll.have a great system and a few extra days won't matter. I am giving them the advice that as they grow they need to be careful to.keep their clients onside and communications are a big part of that.

It will be 100mm boards i will be after again Andy at some point next year too, and they are pretty generous with their bulk discounts so hold that thought.
Mine have stored very well outside on a couple of pallets with a big tarp tucked over them.
They also came wrapped in skrinkwrap plastic in packs of 5 which no doubt has helped.
Im slowly working through them for the underfloor insulation but not as fast as i would like. Body dictates the pace these days though.

I'm a bit early for a bigger solar controller but had the time and want to get the 60A one away. Spaced out the new one from the backboard as it will run hotter. Looking forward to the guys going at it again tomorrow. Not sure what will occur. Either under the floor pipe upgrades, ashp up on wall or maybe switch over to new hwt on immersion. Hoping that by this time next week we'll be up and running.

Wall coreing now taking place.

The brackets are up on the gable end too. Sparky stuff happening as well. Cant take anything away from these guys in their professionalism. :xl:

I particularly like the bracket load test by tech.

Rolls & sausage with tattie scones and coffee. Still managing to export!

Feels like a milestone day. Walls (2 of) cored through to give unimpeded runs for the 28mm copper from ashp. A fair chance that the ashp itself will go up today. Lift coming this afternoon. There'll be no microclimation here!

Does anyone in the Shire need or know of someone who might like a radiator upgrade? Plenty K2's, FOC.

That's quite a thickness of pipe insulation. Can now see why the core dia is large. I'm away down to Southampton tomorrow to collect the transit autosleeper. That'll keep me busy next week on the drive.

As I said before, I can't fault the work quality and attention to detail which is the important part but my God it is glacial slow progress and there's an awful lot of chatting!

Me n swmbo are now retreating to other parts of the house in self defence so as not to trigger "a good long chat".

Highly recommend the company but at a fixed price contract. If it was dayrate I couldn't handle the speed or lack of...

JB I have to ask, what shutter speed are you using when you take photos? I ask because I assume its a very very fast shutter stop as every shot of the wind turbine captures the blades in perfect focus.............almost as though it was stationary

Is the wind not blowin up your way ?

I suffered a minor set back yesterday when the Octopod informed me that they dont fit ASHP in North Wales at the moment - so no quote from them for the foreseeable. Hopefully by the time i finish collecting real time heating data they will have gotten around to our region.
