Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Southampton has had a geothermal plant in the city centre for decades.

Excellent smaller scale numbers (compared to Iceland) yet doing well. 👏 👏

Was expecting it to be more than "hot water for 300 homes" but it's better than nothing - indeed better than burning the gas. Wonder if it leaks gas out of there?

This project is going ahead in Cornwall - a combined heat and power geothermal well

Definitely small scale but excellent nonetheless. I'd love to be offered a geothermal project through energy4all or similar. Good question on the gas build up. I'd think it would be minimal. Leads to the question are these boreholes lined with casing or open hole? Sealed at top? Maybe someone will be along who is in the knowing.
