Having spent thirty plus years in the electricity metering industry I'm ashamed to say I was totally unaware of him until AGT introduced me to him via his post. I've struggled to understand why when he was to my mind a national hero and should have been included in the school curriculum for us to learn about along with all the other "Greats".
Just maybe then, the many Nimby's of today might have a better appreciation of pylons and renewable energy generation sites!

Although remote communities did get an electrical connection it would seem that some upgrading is required.
