I've just swapped from Agile to Go - too few drops on Agile and with an EV and Autumn closing the cheap Go period better than the hope of a cheap period with Agile. Think the Go prices will be on the up soon.

Yes as you can see from Zarch's website, the last 7 days illustrate it too well. But also the fixed 24 month Octopus tariff which I could switch to, is now 19.75p per kWh, much higher than the peak rate period of Go, which makes no sense at all.

18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Yes - I've been checking the graphs and Octopus app and the prices of Agile were just going up and up.......

Don’t forget there are different standing charges on these tariffs.

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)

Thats hardly much difference and even my fathers 24 month fixed deal with Octopus is 24.38p standing charge and 18.1p / kWh.

I.e. almost the same standing charge as Go and the price per kWh is more than the peak price on Go so even without any time shifting he would save money. I am just waiting for Octopus to be able to read his Smets 1 meter before swapping him over to it.

And the current unplanned outage of 3 of Heysham's nuclear reactors aren't helping.

Never seen Nuclear so low at 3.31GW.

Had word back from Joe at Octopus and the new comms unit is now hooked into their system, all going well we'll be back up and running datawise by early next week. The essential lesson for me has been direct contact with Octopus by phone trumps mucho e mails.

+1 for Octopus phone support being good and their email support being rubbish.
