Other option is that CT's are the wrong way round i.e. PV on Grid and vice versa.

What photos would you two like?
Photos can 'explain' a system more easily than words in many cases.

Yes and I suspect someone has changed something remotely. My thought was the maximum charge voltage for the battery was being exceeded but with the sunniest day so far the fault has not appeared.

I hope I have attached a screenshot of the fault and the text does not match anything in the fault section of the manual exactly.

Also a photo of the units side by side

there's a very British prejudice against talking about money in any way, although some here are very (and unusually) open about the financial implications of their own renewables and even about their investments and pension plan structures.
I wasn't surprised by the response...

That code does not mean much to me either.

It might be a temporary thing, coming out of Winter where the battery needs a few full charge / discharge cycles to balance up the cells, then its ok. New Pylontech batteries sometimes give a high / low voltage cell error but it more of a warning than a shutdown fault and usually clears after a few cycles.

If its working for you this evening without any intervention, just keep an eye on it.

I disagree, it may be a generational thing. Not particularly linked to Britishness in my life experience... shrugs. Regarding the gentle nudge it's nice to help others in how we've been doing it and hopefully they get more out of it.

I just found the user manual for the battery, the nearest type of failure I can find is a simple comms failure between the inverter and the battery so check that the comms cable is connected properly, i.e. give it a wiggle or re-seat the connector.

Communication failure.
Communication loss between PCS and battery
Check if PCS and battery communication terminal is well connected.

The battery should be telling the inverter what the max charge voltage is so shouldn't be exceeded. The error looks to be a problem of communication between battery and inverter.

nowty- i took too long to press the submit button while check the manual again!!

The instructions look awful- typical Chinese.

I'd check all these as well if the battery is not discharging. Check the time is correct.
