Just offering advice. ( You see them rated between 60 and 8000 watts with the same size blade assembly. )
This turbine rated at 8000W at 24 volts has been running for weeks.
Today it produced its first power output.
Feeding a 24 volt battery system it produced a pulse of 9 milli amp that lasted for about half a second.
This is the third one I have tried. Its got to be said that they do look very nice. Do they produce any power that makes it worth installing. NO NO NO
It is pretty windy today.
My other turbine from China. ( Not many Chinese bits left on it ) is producing 3.5 kwh

It is annoying that these PoS are able to advertise. There is simply no way they *COULD* deliver what they claim! I could bemoan the education system that produces consumers that don't understand the basics of how much energy you can get from something/it takes to power something, at least to the right order of magnitude.
I remember a bicycle attached to a dynamo with several 40W tungsten filament lamps. Powering one bulb was hard work, two very difficult, 3 impossible for us children. It really put into perspective how much energy is actually required to power devices.

The box itself is the splashproof barrier, opaque and I can see thru it to the numbers of irrelevance when the turnips spinning. My version of installation Art.

A Gent from the village knocked on the door asking for information about wind turbines.
He had already worked out that all the
Lantern Vertical Axis Wind Turbines Generator,AC 12V 24V kits you can buy vary between
180 watts and 8000 watts with the same size blades.
He has got a bit of land. He just wants some feedback as to what to purchase.
I fully agree that a blade area designed to produce 8000 watts is suitable for fitting onto a 180 watt turbine. Even Hommer Simpson would possibly know that one designed for 180 watts wont work the other way round to get 8000 watts.
I have got a very nice looking red one. It is rated at 8000 watts It has produced 15 watts on a very windy day.
The first one and second one was white. The alternator would not rotate when I got it out of the box without grinding noises from inside.The second one would not rotate with out 24 inch pipe grips on the shaft.
Has any one tried on of these. 800 watts for £199.

Might try it for another play project.
The Gent would like some feed back as to what's worth ago. What does produce some power.
He is starting from new. On battery / solar and wind as a play project to reduce electric bills.
