Standing on the caravan port roof (metal profile) is a bit dodgy when it's covered with snow!
This must be that one day of the year...

A 1kW inflow ongoing with batteries charging at 0.75kW. Looking outside I'd expect there to be nothing, just heard the crump of the snow sliding off last pv section.

Edit-post snow crump? A,heady 1.35kW! :)

Don't you hurt yourself Iain, not for a couple of kW's. I've got easy access.

It's gone from bad to worse, no mains power now! :(
Genny back in use but have switched off the PV systems as not sure if there would be a problem or would work?

That's no good! Are you worried the genny isn't putting out clean power?

I am glad you got it(genny) up and running and hooked in. No point blowing up an inverter if you've not had time to do tests.

It would probably be fine as the voltage was IIRC 243V and 50.7 Hertz but for the short period is it worth the risk.

On a day like this? Not a chance! Although I would be investigating in Spring.

what a day! started this morning grey overcast and 50+mph winds (60mph around 1 am) then at 3pm the clouds blew back and out comes the sun!, at one point my 3.680kWp was reading 3.694kWp :0 doesn't happen often but nice when it does for the short time it takes the panels to warm up and de-rate.

Sat here watching the sun gently lowering across the bay and still harvesting over 2.4kWp.

Not wall to wall sunshine as some fair weather clouds about but its a record yield day for the year so far, just over 52kWh from the solar with practically no import today and some power fed into SWMBO EV.

It was so windy in the garden today I wish I had a wind turbine, wait a minute, I think I do. About 35kWh from ripple WT1, when WT2 starts cranking, can probably be double that.

A monster 6.6kW incoming peak today. First time I have felt any heat in the Victron controller. Peaking at 2.7kW.

System seems to be running quite consistently North of 5kW today. :D

With the HWT running flat out the SOC on the stack marches resolutely upwards. 72 to 74% in the time it took to post this.

When SWMBO returns we'll get the EV charging straight off the day. :)

Lots of edge scatter from the clouds here today and getting some good consistent figures over 2kWp dropping to around 800Wp as the heavier clouds pass.

Bypass is steadily heating up the radiators and tube heaters around the cottage and the base temperature is 18 degrees.

I definitely need some additional panels to spread around on the shoulder days/ months when he solar is a bit more patchy so that I can both be consuming and charging for later as the people with larger arrays do.
