The heavens opened here a couple of hours ago and temps plunged . Our Med acclimatised bodies did not appreciate that so on went the woodstove
One more 500ml test?
Edit- 28 minutes for the woodstove, not running at full tilt, only 220C on the spot I use to measure. Winter that would be 300C. Nonetheless,
28mins 0kWh.

This is pretty epic, having macaroni cheese later.
Water is on the woodstove.
Cheese sauce has been cooked on the induction hob.
Commonality? Not a single touch of the grid.

Double batched our tomato, bacon and scotch bonnet pasta sauce. Will feed 8. Absolutely effortless, leaving it slow cooking on setting 1 pulling from 80 to 150W every 2 secs.
This is a very chilled way to cook.
That's incandescent light bulb power territories, for cooking!

I do like your shopping style, theres a distinct lack of car boots up here where i live and the charity shops all seem to know the price of good stuff !

Oh it's not me. SWMBO who's father was an antique dealer and she spent a lot of happy times with him as a girl and has developed a laser eye and infinite memory for 'stuff'. I just do the heavy lifting.

Last post on induction hobs. Just get one!
Absolutely effortless and insanely parsimonious. Can't quite believe what it does for literally a handful of Watts.
