WT1 52.90kWh

New single day PB 102.05kWh 04/06/22 :D
My PB is still 116 kWh from 23/04/22.

I made 104 kWh on your PB day 04/06/22 and did 108 kWh yesterday.

In fact my water distiller is back on again, too much green power.

After the latest Ripple payment, Octopus VB at 42% SOC.
100% SOC on the VB being enough to power Nowty Towers for a year without any Ripple savings.
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated

What do you use the distilled water for? Hoping to receive and install the last 1,200W of panels in the next couple of weeks. My VB SOC is -2.4%, should kick into positive territory next month.

SWMBO steam ironing fetish, we live in a hard water area so it saves buying the deionised water as the steam irons fecked in no time without it.

She gets through about 150 litres a year and I also supply my daughter but she uses a lot less, probably about 50 litres so saves about £120 or so every year. I keep a stock of 60 litres which lasts SWMBO through the winter solar famine, but only just.

The distiller runs at 700w and uses about 1kWh per litre, so in spring the hot exhaust helps heat the house.

Liking the circular nature of the thinking on water costs plus free heat. We will pass the 1.5MWh WT1 generation mark today around 2pm. Pretty good for 3 months in the 'off season'. Great to think that this 3 month generation will be possible in a single month in the wind 'on season'.

It was excellent to be up close to so many WT's when in Europe, hearing the timed whoosh of the blades and thinking 'Yep, got one just like that'. :)

Guess I must have already passed the 1.5MWh mark on WT1.

But your going to overtake me some time after Kirk Hill goes live.

Wouldn't worry about. I'm not in competition. Well I am, but with myself only.

Really enjoying the thought of an RE system for each season with massive benefit to the VB in cross over seasons. 8-)

Just had my latest Octopus monthly bill and because of the earlier than normal Ripple payment for May, the bill includes 2 months of WT1 savings.

Octopus VB now at 41% SOC. 8-)

When WT2 starts cranking, will there normally be two payments per month or an amalgamated larger single one.

However it works on the bills we will do well. I have been keeping an eye on the WT1/WT2-9 sites and WT2-9 wind out performs WT1 90%+ of the time. The 10% where WT1 wins out is by a couple of points of a mph. Whereas going the other way WT2-9 wins by 30% min and regularly by 100% more wind in that 90% outperformance window. :o

Notice on the website:
21/06/2022
A maintenance crew will be on site today checking the blade sensors. Your turbine will be switched off during this period. Wind speeds are forecasted to be a very low today which means very little/no loss to generation
which is a handy coincidence!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
