You're probably right, I hate to see a bodge. I've gradually been going around this house tidying things up, for no other reason than some of the workmanship leaves a little to be desired.

Always a good strategy to keep stuff for those just in case times. :D
I've had that piece of steel for about 15 years, :o the rest of its brothers were used to build a brewery stand back in the day. Knew it would come on handy!

Worst thing I did last time we moved house was to cull my "may come in handy one day" stock. There have been dozens of times over the past few years when I've dearly wished I'd kept some of it.

The string of 3 is out and ready to go up. I did blank off and tape off the groundmount feeds to the external JB, just in case....

I need 1 hour dry tomorrow. :)

Well, that's us up and running. The Victron system is now in the lead, well at the moment, we'll see what Zenith brings? Prior to the move it has at best come within 200W of the Solaredge which I was happy with... Went sailing past on power up!

Over 500W improvement, that's excellent! Could be an extra 4 to 6kWh per day? Or going on current power prices, 8 grand!

I have a little bit of bracketeering to do as I ran out by about 10mm on getting the end clamps on.

Will have a play about after a cuppa and get something in place. A very happy camper indeed!

Back to the scrap bin, found some steel to act as a long anchor up into the channel. Clamped up OK. Came down and at 12.05hrs, the solaredge is now just matching the Victron as the Solaredge West face kicks out more. As I finished the rain came on. Just call me golden bollocks!

Feeling immense satisfaction at this AND as a bonus the roofline now looks neater with the ventpipe gone. :ugeek:
