Hi Dan - FWIW, wandering Amazon and comparing specs, I have yet to find an air-fryer that goes higher than 200C.

The Sage we have goes to 230°C

Patrick, "ip" = lazy Gus shortening the brand name commonly referred to, e.g. "Tafkap"
In the range of "ip" units there are big standard ip's (1lid for pressure & the rest) ..small standard & mid size (5.7Litre)
Then there's the twin lid offerings at 5.6 litre & 8 litre (in the UK at least) with the second lid lid for air frying + use it or not raised leg (airflow) basket to sit within the s/steel pot.

Beyond that there are plastic lightweight small single through to large double with / without viewing window units & a mega small single person /student unit dedicated air fryer (on the instantpot site)

We use the pressure cooker aspect all the time, I'll be pressure cooking chicken now separating juices & finishing skin by a burst of air frying instead of throwing it in the oven..

Using a decent basmati, rinsing it clear the up can do some spectacularly good rice that doesn't clump of stick even after a night in the cold fridge (3c)
Multi modal, the air fryer makes me love it more as it's another how to a piece of low energy kitchen tech we have embraced for years & use most days.

I look forward to using the dehydrator setting, sous vide setting is gimmicky as no water movement via an impellor but hey, plenty of good functionality share for reductions & the like as well as the standard fare.

With a big fan, close proximity element that's a lot of hot air blast, so beyond 200c being needed is not a concern for us right now.

The machine is quiet in fryer mode, with only a tiny vent, kindle sat right by it was fine to listen to without straining, won't impinge on conversations around it.
Daughter reheated a crispy school piece cooked earlier that she'd normally hung in the micro for 60 seconds.
Machine was luke warm so we will class it as a cold start.I
Rough count of 1 min 20 seconds to pre heat, cook time ..not needed was 5 mins based on weight, compared to the entire pack of 5/6 decent breasts cooking in 10 earlier.

I "forced her to hurry & sort the roll & salad out & take a hot bite for feedback, no noticeable degradation to crispness et al, for this "reheat" (we pulled it out after 3 minutes)

Badly positioned probe read 60c internally
"Yum" basically.

Big fan of these for simplicity Gus.

Small potatoes dug out of garden. Quick scrub, skins left on. Half them, a shake of homegrown cayenne dried chilli, salt & pepper to taste. Light drizzle of olive oil, toss em around, tray em. 20 minutes along with whatever else ye fancy. Fantastic!

Thrifty my a**e! An afternoon and evening in Glasgow, dropped £600.

Your tatties made me think "to the larder"
Olive oil + garlic salt (Cornish sea salt variety) for some jumbo crispy baked spuds.

The first one I split open after 30 mins (87c internally) cries crossed & finished off open deck.

Chicken & bacon mayo filling & a bit more garlic salt ..caned it!

(Nipper always reluctant where baked potatoes are concerned tried it & asked for one herself, ..I'm faint) !

Stuck 2 in awaiting wifes return prepping for a cqc (or whatever) inspection of her unit, ..should stop her cursing for 20 mins.

That's brilliant! I will be hoiking more tatties soon and plan to use the tiny, miniscule one's (smaller than seed potatoes), in a Haggis, tattie, pearl barley & lentil broth slow cooked on WBS1. It will be peppered and very slightly hot from a single scotch bonnet and It's going to be a HUGE batch so I can freeze a load of it to give to our son for work. He's often a 04.30 start at site and it will be nippy soon.
