Actual generation showing now, after zero yesterday and not much on Sunday.
Hooray!
Good point about seeing stationary turbines in windfarms, one or two down in a crowd may be the norm, but when it is your only one it matters!

This may be another reason behind my doubts about building them as big as can be achieved: one down among many isn't a problem, but when a huge one stops you lose a lot of generation. On the other hand, if we are putting them in deeper seas with either bigger foundations or on huge oil-rig floaters you presumably want as big a generator on it as you can build.
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Not back on yet as far as I can see, sometimes when it clicks over to the next hour the forecast bar changes colour and gives the illusion its operating but refresh the page and ...... nothing happening yet.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Oh well...
Let's hope this is within the expected outage time and has been allowed for in the annual forecast.

It might be back on ?, looks green and I've refreshed the page a few times, we should know for sure at 6pm if the 5pm generation stays on.

Pal, 'we' were never away from it or stopped! They were. 8-)
An astonishing 5kWh PV gen today. Not worried in the slightest! Chilli on the go and water heating for rice via WBS1.

Looks like the maintenance team have shut the turbine down for the night and will be back tomorrow unless its another comms problem. There is more than enough wind for it to be churning away.

EDIT - There was an announcement 3 hours ago, so roughly when it stopped again, from Ripple on a facebook group that the maintenance team was still on site.

WT1 currently fecked. :?

Graig Fatha update

07/09/2022
Yesterday's investigation at Graig Fatha found an issue with the blade positioning sensor on one of the blades.

The positioning sensor is used to ensure the blade is at the correct angle to optimise the power extracted from the wind, and to ensure the rotor turns at the right speed. The turbine can't operate until it is fixed.

The team will continue on site today undertaking further fault finding and repair work.

We will keep you posted.

I wonder whether it has just slipped, or always been wrong? My actual delivered kWhr has consistently been about half of the predicted production.
