I've double and triple checked, hope I'm looking at the right datasheet :D Batteries are 207x173 so I've made my 6 boards 255x173.. 5 batteries clamped between each set.

Sit them sideways like you are I think then stack them on top of each other, with board jutting out front and back for some rods and bolts. Probably a cutout or two in the front to get a cable in so its flush with the terminal bolts..

Just can't get over how small these boards look! I'm sure I've got it wrong!
That's the sizes I have too, fingers 🤞

Take your time connecting that balancer to the batteries! Lots of opportunity to mess up…

Nah man, piece of p**s. Try a 47 way cable or a 135 way. Bloody things of nightmares! I will go dead slow and double check every connection. Thank you, genuinely appreciated 🙏.

Mail in from Alibaba saying shipment of batteries has indeed shipped. For posterity that was 10th Sept 2022.
I asked them issue a hold order to DHL in Aberdeen depot if they arrive early while we are in Turkey getting eye 2 done.

That's the balance board cable extensions fitted and each is marked with masking tape and a black marker numeral. Triple checked Stinsy! The cable is old German speaker wire co incidentally the same as Nowtys I think? Been in a bag on s/by at least 10 years since I pulled the speaker system out. Glad it got a relife.

I recall a lot of labelling.

I particularly like the insulated crocodile clip quick connects. That's clever.

Got my rechargeable battery fix this morning on a slightly smaller scale. Nonetheless, solar charging! :D

Stinsy wrote: Tue Sep 06, 2022 7:40 pm Busbar mount looks really good! You’d have to be trying exceptionally hard to inadvertently cause a short with a spanner or whatever!

A piece of clear plastic on top would really finish it off…
Second bus bar arrived, fitted along with the main leads to the LF280 stack and the Chinese carryout lid of isolation.

One more 90 deg angle to fit at the roofline (extreme belts & braces) and I'll be on standby for the batteries themselves.

I think I'm up around 40 hours of my time in this so far. Enjoyed it all but it has been more of a timesink than I expected as I aimed reasonably high so I'd do it once and leave it alone. Great fun!

Love the Frankenstein spark, gives you a strong reminder of what you are messing with.
Thanks again for that OGB. 8-)
