If anyone needs Pylontech batteries....

Post by SafetyThird »

ITS (https://www.itstechnologies.shop/collec ... buy-online) have some in stock. I had put a deposit down for a couple recently to expand my current stack and they emailed yesterday to tell me the batteries had landed so I could pay the balance, they'll be arriving at my door in a couple of weeks. Not sure how many they have but if you need some, they're the only place I found that have some currently.
6kw PV (24 x REC Solar AS REC 250PE)
Clausius 5-25kw GSHP
Luxpower Squirrel Pod
Pylontech 21kwh
Eddi Diverter
250l hot water tank with 2 immersions
2 x Woodwarm stoves
7 acres of old coppice woodland
Ripple Kirk Hill 3.8kw
Ripple Derril Water 3.963 kW

I don't actually need one, but I have space for 1 more.

Have space for 1 more = I want 1 more.

If it was that simple it would already be here but I'm at the limit of 8 on my US2000 units. But I believe if I buy two US2000C's, I can make one the master and the other the 9th battery, with the original master unit either sold on or kept as a spare.

Then there is the moral and climate issue of depriving someone else in an actual need for one, so I'll hold off for now.

I still haven’t been contacted about my US5000 :(

I assume this thread is referring to the US2000 and US3000s which presumably look like they are back in stock on their site.

Out of curiosity, does anyone still buy the lower sizes? It seems more value for money £ to W to get the US5000 over the smaller sizes?

Mostly its the weight of the things. The 2000s I have are already awkward to jostle around in tight spaces. I'd probably manage a 3000 but probably wouldn't want to manhandle a 5000 on my own! But yes it is slightly more economic to buy the bigger sizes.

Definitely agree about the weight. I bought US3000Cs because they seemed to be better value than US2000Cs, but I did regret that when I had to carry them out to the battery shed and lift them into place in the rack. The US5000s must be a bit of a nightmare to try and shift on your own, I would imagine.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

I bought US3000C because ETA was better than for US5000C but price per kwh wasn't huge.
