I think the problem Gus is that the whole project (and similar projects) are limited by the actual DNO switch on dates which are not under project control, so everything is scheduled in backwards from that date. Accelerating work can be expensive so no point finishing the work 6 months early if it just sits there waiting for the DNO.

I seem to recall Sarah from Ripple saying something along those lines a month or two ago.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 27MWh generated

Power to the people Gus, they don't like.

Truss worked for Shell ffs I find the idea of punching more holes abhorrent whole cutting back on RE.

With the Putin background I would honestly be full steam ahead on both with more steam going to RE.

But I don't think ToU tariffs were even part of the discussion.
I'm sure you're right. A couple of years or so ago the housing association that owns a small estate of former council houses not far from here removed their boilers and replaced them with night storage heaters. I imagine they are going to find it tough going this winter, as I don't think those houses are that well insulated, they are pretty typical 1950's houses, built at a time when putting up houses quickly and cheaply were the key criteria.

At this moment in time we have around 1.5kW PV incoming to the battery. Not a huge amount yet one which I am enormously proud of and enough to keep my son off the grid. He knows the score and lives properly within parameters taught by his Dad. :) Other people will always move goalposts, the game is knowing what to do. My Go Faster tarrif expire at Xmas, we'll see how it goes. I really don't want to turn the gas back on.
3rd load of washing is in the washer, 2nd is in the tumbler, A2A sat on but idle because house is up to temp, shed storage heater benefited from an extra 1h45m daytime boost, PHEV charging at 1.4kW, and the batteries are still at 94%.

Not bad for middle of October!
This was us yesterday too! Other half was out so I was on washing and tumble drying detail! :D

joe, whats the tax cut & cost for a bottle of gin over there now?
(75% tax rate for alcohol yes)?

Many back room distillers, not all of them "proper"

Don't know Gus, we just bring it in duty free at £14 to £17 per litre. Tanquary Lime Rangpur being the fave at the moment. :)

I was naively hoping for something better but the new rates are as follows:
IO: Night 10p
Go: night 12p

I get 23p saving per kWh if I switch to IO and sort out my inverter.

I can live with that. Are these official and launched?
