Its not over yet, Gridwatch has just hit 15.92 GW and Energy Numbers back up to 19.8 GW again.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

The highest I saw on Energy Numbers was 18.9 GW, I've seen 19.2 GW last month when we were close but I don't believe broke the record.

Both figures are in or around record territory so we may have broken it but as last time in May the national grid seems to have given up on making announcements as its not big news anymore.

What surprised me is how it was not mega windy and Scotland was even less windy.

We are almost guaranteed to see more records fall over this winter as the UK demand increases, coupled with more wind capacity and higher wind speed.
So we are under on Gridwatch and over on Energy numbers. Its pretty good getting to these generation levels on a regular basis now.

Just popped onto the Crown Agents Offshore Wind map. Pretty much everything on there is going almost full chat - for example:

East England
Hornsea 1 is at 95% of nameplate (1.1GW vs 1.2GWp)
The new Hornsea 2 is at 93% (1.2GW vs 1.3GWp)

West England
West of Duddon Sands 96% of capacity (374MW vs 389MWp)

South England
Rampion at 98% (392MW vs 400MWp)

Scotland
Beatrice at 99% 584MW vs 588MWp)

WT1 is running at 93.9% capacity last 3 hours and almost the same across a 5 hour trailing window. Pretty good for onshore power. WHOOOSH said Windy Miller all across the land & sea. :D 8-) :ugeek:

WT1 94.28% capacity in the trailing hour of 13.00 to 14.00hrs. Dropped s little in last hour but that's before any adjustments.(14.00-15.00 2.3kWh/88.1%).

Edit- gotta love that, 2.3kWh became 2.51kWh 96.2% capacity.

We may not have managed record peak wind again today, but on Gridwatch the average wind power for the 24 hour period is likely to well exceed 14GW. That also may or may not be a record, but I find it probably more satisfying than a short record peak.
