Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

@Krill, sounds like you would benefit from an A2A heatpump, relatively cheap and will heat a good chuck of your house without interfering with your existing heating system.

'Which actually brings me to the other point about this greater efficiency panel type: I have the opportunity to make this work, the land available, and the financial resources to pull it off, but a lot of other people don't. As panel efficiency increases, yes I could use less land, but is there not a moral dimension to this, that those who are able should try to produce more so that other people who can't, can reduce their reliance on fossil fuels? So even though I will benefit long term, there is a significant gap (potentially measured in years) where if I can produce and sell usuable RE, I should do so to reduce societies reliance, as a personal contribution to managing the current energy crisis?'

I appreciate what you are saying and agree to a point, this aspect is very personal and each individual who invests in RE should find their own internal balance point and go forward happy. Krill, have you already bought into PV or are you still in the storming stage? Cheers!

I think I will start a new thread rather than take this one off topic, because there are other considerations even if this would be an ideal part of a solution.

Thank you for the link though, I had not seen that thread.

I am not invested financially as yet, still in the process of getting quotes (which was disturbed in August and September by Trussonomics and some work issues. I am invested ideologically and will be progressing though, already have 1 quote at least which is reasonable for the current day and age.

There is a lot of knowledge on here. I'm sure you'll do fine. Some of the Internet advertising companies will do remote survey & quote.
