Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
Seems like they're doing pretty well with this one now, although would be quite interesting to see how sales of the similar sized fossil-powered Panamera have fared since the Taycan came out? I bet it's stolen a lot of their own sales.

Re: Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
I spoke with a Porsche salesman a year ago and he said the the Taycans are often bought/leased in the UK via business for the tax benefits /stating the obvious
Anecdotally I see a lot of Taycans with plates from 19 and newer and I haven't seen a Panamera with a plate newer than 2018 (no comment on socioeconomic factors).

Re: Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
Taycans get a lot of hate for some reason!
For me they fail the “ground-up BEV-platform” test. But I see a lot of them (can’t remember the last Panamera I saw in the road). If the tax breaks are pushing people who’d never have considered a BEV into buying/leasing one then I’m all for it. They’ll flood the 2nd hand market soon enough.

Re: Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
It's a bit ridiculous atm. You can buy a new one for £75k it's difficult to find a pre-owned for under £80.
Re: Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
Not unusual at all in the current market for BEVs!
My iD4 is £46k brand new. I've seen used ones for sale for £60k.
I know someone who bought an iD3 for £27k and sold it 2-years and 20k miles later for £32k.

Sold our B Class electricdrive for £14K 4 years ago, would likely still get that!

Re: Porsche hits 100,000th Taycan
Seems completely mad to me that a second hand car can sell for more than a new one. Makes no logical sense, except to show that there are still some people around that have more money than sense.

I've been waiting 18 months and counting for my iD4. You can either join the back of the queue or you can pay a little extra and have one now. If you're a taxi driver who needs a ULEZ-compliant vehicle or you cannot work then you'll pay whatever it costs for a car that is available now.Oldgreybeard wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 2:26 pm Seems completely mad to me that a second hand car can sell for more than a new one. Obviously Taycans aren't usually taxis, but used vehicles are available now and new ones are over a year out...

And Tesla used values are bucking the trend too. You can get a used TM3 for £10k less than it sold for new 3 years ago.NikoV6 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 2:54 pmWas in Tesla showroom the other day, they are showing Model Y RWD for Christmas deliveryStinsy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 2:32 pmI've been waiting 18 months and counting for my iD4.
