Stopped at the Feugh Bridge in Banchory now that the rains have fallen away. Apparently, when the river was in full spate a little over a week ago it was running over the walkway of the green bridge!

TY. I’ve edited the post (could’ve been worse!).

I tried very hard to make my Lot20 SH work. Was on the phone to Dimplex CS several times, to no avail. In the end I concluded that whoever programmed it was a moron so I had to lobotomise and circumvent all the expensive charge-control circuitry.

One thing I've noticed with YouTube is that genuine and honest channels, like this one, don't get as much attention as those produced by prats and chancers. I was sent a link by a friend to a video made by a complete dickhead somewhere around Cambridge, because it showed the bloke doing major structural damage to a timber framed house, and making comments about the builder having stuffed the wall with scrap timber to save putting it in the skip.

The reality was that said dickhead had cut away the absolutely essential vapour tight membrane, then proceeded to cut away about a third of a key composite structural column, supporting the floor above. I was sent the link as a warning because our frame has exactly the same type of composite structural columns all over the place, both supporting the first floor and also supporting the roof ridge beam (this is a photo of one of ours - identical to the one the dickhead cut away - taken before our vapour tight layer was fitted):

I contacted the said dickhead to point out that he'd very stupidly jeopardised both the structural integrity of the house and the long term resistance from moisture damage and rot (because the idiot had cut away the vapour membrane as well) and didn't get a reply. Too far up his own backside making crap to put on YouTube, perhaps.

Just found the video, still there after 8 months, still shows the dickheads wholly unsafe and dangerous work, although some of the comments now point this out. Still from the video showing how idiots can tackle jobs very dangerously:
