DDP it stands for delivery, duty paid. This means that he/they are taking the commercial risk of shipping to your door, with all duties etc paid.

The International Chamber of Commerce has a set of commercial terms & conditions for international trade around the world. These are called INCOTERMS. DDP is one of many. Google and all will be revealed. Welcome to the world of international trade. Many large organisations employ shipping clerks who deal with this stuff day in day out. I’ve dealt with it a bit and believe me, DDP is the one to go for, many others are a world of pain & only worth going for if you are shipping large quantities. What we are doing is the smallest of toes being dipped into a very large body of water.

Nicely put and a large part I think of people's trepidation in long distance purchase? Certainly my set arrived with no further duties to be paid.
Which is exactly the way it’s designed to work. It’s a bit more faff for the seller, but they do it all the time and will have clear processes for each part of the world. Other INCOTERMS that you’ve probably heard of are Ex-works & FoB, but there are many many others. Some involve payment being held in escrow by a trusted 3rd party & only being released on witnessed acceptance testing. It’s the way international trade ticks. Delivery & payment of aircraft engines is a particularly interesting one.

Thank you Rob
Yes, shipping via DDP will be the best choice for the customer
The seller bear all the cost for the customer, and the customer will be easier to get the goods
Just the goods cost +shipping cost. Then can wait for the goods arrive
The only problem is the shipping will take 45 more days , That's the hardest part of it

Ran in a few led's to spice it up and serve as emergency lighting to safely access the 2kW offgrid inverter if grid falls over. Mostly though, it's about the bling and lets not kid on that its otherwise! 8-)

Where have you put the resistor in series with the L.E.D

I'd assumed the current limiting resistors were under the sleeving.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

God no, I specced them to the pack voltage and wired them straight in.did think they were a little bright.Ah well, every day a learning day!

If they are 3.2V led's then you won't need one.

It only when you run them off say a 5V supply and need to drop the voltage at the running current of the LED.

But if its a 2.2V one you will need one.

If it's black and hot with a hole blown in it I can change it out, beyond that, not a clue! Any pointers to resistors to use? I've got spare led's if these go poo until then.
