Mostly just time shifted, at a guess. I wouldn't mind betting that there's a bit of a surge immediately afterwards. Bit disingenuous to make the reference to trees, too, IMHO. I worked out once that our house is equivalent to 42 trees, because of it's "negative" CO2 emissions according to the EPC, which is really a load of rubbish.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great exercise to prep ‘us’ to take more responsibility managing resources.

Unfortunately, as with most things, the motivated informed will participate, a big lump will look at the ‘reward’ in purely immediate financial terms and CBA.

I’m all for responsibility being devolved, but we have to encourage everyone to sign up to that responsibility.

The pay to lead a horse to water takes the p155 out of us for simply doing this "for free& & because it is needed as a comm & the right thing to do.
Not impressed.

What sort of trouble is likely created / inadvertently encouraged from "no pay, won't do" post experiment?

No govt miniater has said clearly "our energy supply is on a EUROPEAN WIDE war footing as we are all connected " Indo wonder how many folk are aware of energy via interconnects from abroad.

We are connected but not synchronous with the EU grid so these is a fine level of detail to be careful about.

It would be very difficult if it wasn't for the Nord group.

SEM (Ireland), France, Finland, Cyprus all will be tight. Italy too but that's buisness as usual for them.

Ironically ireland effected by GB being a little short.

I didn't pay any attention to the carrot Eon-next offered I just did it to see what I could achieve and on the first night they have credited me with £3.30 for a 99% reduction on the first hour.

It actually spurred me into seeing how to charge my battery from the grid so that was useful.

Since then I have asked Eon about not having a published off peak tariff and they do have one but they need to know my meter type, I will send them a picture with my reply tomorrow.
