Mine is showing 2.14p/kWh, on a day like this ?

Maybe they want us to cane the gas rather than the leccy. :?
Well, I've broken and I'm heating the HWT and being paid for it. This is nuts!
There is an oddity with the current tracker tariff which means that the government discount can make it go below the capped price as its deemed a fixed rate tariff.

The new tracker will be based so it can only go below the ceiling price if the actual market price is lower so it still gets the discount but the discount wont take it below the standard capped price.
Ah well, GCH on too then!I guess it's been needing a run up!

Don't know, depends on your system but probably not.
Actually thinking about it as it is AC coupled it should be catholic to whether the charge comes from the grid or solar PV, if there is excess PV then the PV inverter voltage will rise a bit above the grid .

What a heat! Will have to let the WBS fade back a little, 3 heating systems on is taking the mick. How goes the setting it up for 5pm Nowty?

Agile days are back in a strangely convoluted fashion admittedly.

I'll make more on gas today than all my 'sessions' combined.

Well that was fun. :D

Normally you slide the power around trying not to bust your inverter ceiling, but this time it was keep turning stuff up and down to maintain at least 20kW import but try and not bust 90A.

Finally I have found a use for my Octopus Mini as it allows me to access the live usage. I cleared 63.33 kWh so my baseline for the saving session should be at least 10.5 kWh for each half hour, so I am hoping for around 75,000 Octopoints.

The wildcard which threw me early on was that the sun came out and was reducing my import. Then the hot water tank became fully hot, so had to improvise as I still had a tray of bricks under the kitchen cupboard for such eventualities.

There's something a little odd going on with the gas tracker prices.
If I look at my Octopus account online, it's suggesting 1.57p per Kwh, yet querying the API is getting me a unit rate of 14.96p.

To be honest, I'm more inclined to believe the API results but I hope no one gets stung by incorrect gas prices.

I am guessing thats based on a 16p cap.

I'm on a 11p cap.

Joeboy might even be on a lower cap, hence his always seems to be cheaper than mine.

The API returns an uncapped value, somehow I managed to roll over onto another 12 months at a 6p cap this summer.

http://mysmartenergy.uk/Tracker/North-W ... d-Cheshire is useful to see historical and current tracker prices, at least once you adjust your area. On a day like this I'm glad I'm still on the v1 tariff...
