About as double standard as the rspb when thwy convinced their members that WT's were big-timebird killers whilst having a not exactly small one at sandy lodge rspb hq & sanctuary.

Was looking through a bag of "didn't get there" recyclin, sorting it & in the summer 2021 edition of their supporters magazine a contemptible anonymous piece entitled "the trouble with wind" ..puff piece pic of orange sunlight big wind turbine, thousands of flying birds.

Zero mention of how environmentally damaging, displacing, polluting, oil, gas, shale gas, nuclear all is, other than to mention the need to decarbonise.

The piece may be available online, ..no idea though, was it even written by a staffer I wonder!?

For a group taking funding from wherever they can get it (inc toyota) "advising" & prodding govt you'd expect accuracy & context would be the order of the day. but apparently not, the piece had no numbers where bird strikes are concerned, mentioned pilings as marine jackhammers etc, ..but zero contextual comparisons or explanation.

Trumpian to say the least.
