You have to compare it to a modern German nuclear plant. Which gets 96%.
CF over an hour is pointless and unhelpful. It's an energy grid, not an energy hour.
I like it (hourly CF) and don't find it unhelpful or pointless at all. As for the German nuclear plants who cares in here? This is a discussion about wind energy. Open a thread about how ace German nukes are. Nowt wrong with that and i'm sure it will be educational too. As for 'have to', do we really?
I would be genuinely interested in reading a thread on the pro's & con's of nuclear power starting with the latest thinking and technology on spent fuel rod disposal.
Safety, potential conflict fuel, cost to build, legacy inertia due to cost to build etc. I'm sure a strong case can be made for it as can cases that Chernobyl & Fukishima were isolated incidents but I don't think that would carry much water with those affected. I'm not even a fan of 'they're always on', not if they're French apparently.
As I said though, genuinely interested, just not a fan (WT pun).
Back on topic, added the personal generation figures for yesterday to my E notes and passed a personal milestone. 5MWh at WT1.
A 10.5% ROI on this part year so far.
