I'm in Germany so being an hour ahead helps, but I forgot and then realised when I looked at my home assistant and it hadn't set my batteries to charge at 5am so now missed 45mins, it seems I have to send at least 6 MQTT messages to get the inverter to switch and I put the time wrong on one automation :o no I probably won't have a full battery for the day but maybe some solar will assist but with the angle of my panels it won't do much
16 250w Trina panels
Voltronic Axpert Max 8Kw hybrid inverter
3 x Chinese 125Ah (19Kwh total) batteries
To be done, more panels and a wind turbine
Off Grid 20 out of 24hrs

I got the smart charge extension until 8 am and then the car stopped charging and and it was nowhere near SoC I had set.
Decided it was better to use the in day adjustment window earnings and turned charging on from the Tesla app, even though I might lose the cheap rate extension.
Octopus app schedule says smart charge to 8am.

The last time mine kept stopping at 7am but I kept starting it again from the Tesla App although I had to do this repeatedly every few minutes. I did not touch the Octopus APP until after 8am and I still got the cheap rate all the way through, my recent bill from them confirmed that.

This morning it stopped again but later at about 7:45, again I manually restarted it.

I have read from another forum that as long as you don't touch the Octopus APP and don't unplug before the session ends you still get the cheap rate even if the charging stops for some reason.

Timers already adjusted so if I don’t wake up most if it will still function automatically and well under my grid limit.
I have Alexa set to wake me if things don't happen when they should. Hopefully.
Damm! Alexa woke me up at 5.05 as I'd missed a link between 2 nodes in Node Red.
