The first one was like that although a 2000 build but very much to the Georgian style. Daughter said after we didn't get it that the scale freaked her out a bit and might have been feart in a place that size. 😳

This WhatsApp in from swmbo last night. For £190 and two King size pine beds from our place in the Shire we are move in and start in under an hour. 8-)

Although the message did add that they (SWMBO & daughter) had been shopping yesterday (Asda for kitchen stuff).

Personally, I am looking forward to the Lion King at the playhouse when it comes back and trying out the local classic Victorian swimming pool. :D

Handily, the flat has built in fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Move in on Friday, weekend with family knocking about city and daughter off to work Monday morning with a lesson in up/recycling to go forward with. :D

Better get SWMBO a railcard, won't be seeing her much.
Which is exactly what she needs after the horrendous last couple of months. 'Go to Edinburgh woman, enjoy, live!'

There shall be an airfryer.
Check out Sam Burns in Prestonpans when you make it up here. Gone downhill a bit recently but still a great place for random reusing / upcycling…

All looking good, swmbo has sourced almost everything on the used market. This along with the purchase of the majority of the furniture in the flat should let us move her in and set up in a couple of hours.

KH WT2-9 should provide enough excess to allow me to float the electricity bill which i'll be changing from Shell to Octopus ASAP. Might even be the possibility of moving the property entry date forward. Waiting to hear.

We have already discussed all four of us down in Edinburgh for this Christmas. :D

She's down there now at the office and walked through the flat area last night. Said it's perfect location 👌. Just to get those missives concluded, it's great when there is a motivated seller & buyer along with no chain. :D

SWMBO & I went out in EV the other day and picked up four rubber wood dining chairs. Two re-covered so far. The material is from big material sample books SWMBO collected a couple of years ago.

These will look nice in daughter & No1 son's Edinburgh pad. Total cost? £1 for EV power. :D UPCYCLING ROCKS! 8-)

Exciting times, missives are one step (their final acceptance today) and we are contractually locked in! Cash is with daughters solicitors, daughter just paid for the furniture we are taking along with the flat and we will collect the keys Friday 17th March. :D

SWMBO and daughter will go down to Edinburgh on the Friday morning. No1 son & I will follow in the evening with a vanful once he finishes work. Looking forward to a walk about and finally seeing the place :D

My pursuit of secondhand swag for the Edinburgh place continues with a second hand Internet radio for a tenner. :D

Old lead foot SWMBO has arrived in Edinburgh with 66 miles of charge left. Departed the Shire home with daughter this morning and a FULL Ioniq 5 (seats folded of course). No1 son & I will follow this evening in the connect with the larger items. Looking forward to a walk around tonight and a late St Patrick's day pint of Guinness.

The girls should be collecting the keys about,,,,,,,,,now! :)

Oh aye, looking forward to seeing the apartment itself too.
