Some progress : . . . .
Blocking the excessive solar gain through the windows . . . with something useful . . .
<space >
No protection from SW sunshine . . . Protection pretty good - with shade netting providing the fine-tuning ( netting not shown ) . . . Now the really useful stuff . . .fitted Feb 2023

Have you taken down a garage ?

I'm interested as to materials, have you got to match in tiles or is it metal tile sheeting?

Re: Solar panels on pergola - what is everyone doing?
They are photos of the real world . . . it's all up & running.
The brick shed is still there. Enough room for veranda & shed.
The teracotta psuedo-tiles are actually felt tiles. The colour match is (accidentally) near-perfect.
The veranda constructor { Rayners Buildings @ Godalming ] tell me that the felt tiles were manufactured in USA. . . . where I suspect they are commonplace.

Viewing through my smartphone so not best quality. Are they add on to existing PV or did you just go for it and install it all in Feb?
Are you Southern hemisphere?

Re: Solar panels on pergola - what is everyone doing?
The Veranda got bogged down in a planning application for ages. I made the mistake of bundling it up with other changes which did definitely need PP.
Anyhow, finally the veranda went up in June 2022.
. . . . leading to immediate relief from the excessive solar gain through the glass . . . Nice !
An Air2Air Heat Pump was fitted in November. Working nicely !
Finally, my favoured Solar installer found a slot in early Feb 2023 - to fit ( my first ) Solar PV system with 7.2 kWh Pylontec batts.
This has been running for only a week, at time of writing, and my usage of grid power has crashed to near-zero !!!! Yippee! . . . but my next chat to Ripple Energy could be a bit embarrassing.

Would it be impudent of me to ask what the materials versus labour costings were?
