Octopus Go renewal

#1

Post by greentangerine »

What's the best method to get a decent response out of Octopus?

I've been with them nearly three years now - switched to them, they quickly put in a smart meter and I've been on Go ever since.

My current Go tariff expires on the 2nd March - not had any contact from them regarding options etc. so emailed them last week. Eventually got a response saying that I should have had an email. I responded repeating that I hadn't and asked what I need to do to stay on Go.

Their response was a link which on following informed me they've accepted my request to get a smart meter fitted - they've already fitted one and are reading it perfectly fine!

I've given up hope of getting a sensible response over email but need to get it sorted ASAP.

Go is gone.

Agile, Cosy, Intelligent, Flexible or Flux.

So it's either agile or your flavour of E7.

Take your pick.

"Go Faster" is gone but "Go" is still there as far as I know, its still on their Current Tariffs list.

I'm sure there would have been a blow up of the Octopus facebook group if it had gone.

Unfortunately Octopus' email customer services always has been crap. You need to get them on the phone.

Go still exists but it is 12p/kWh cheap rate which smarts a little. Lots of people are running away from ToU considering Tracker is 21p/kWh currently. If you have solar/battery then Flux is probably your best bet, you can offset expensive import costs with high export prices.

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I signed up to 'Go' yesterday, so I pretty sure it's still going. I'd like to see a longer window for cheaper rate though, I think 4 hours is a little mean.

Just got my first bill the other day from octopus , didn’t expect 38 pages of breakdowns. Awesome data to digest!
