It's showing wind at 20.75 GW, Solar 2.3, emissions 71g/MWh and a price of £0.00/MWh!

A good time to be on Octopus Agile I assume!
I find myself wondering if there's the possibility of a new wind record in terms of % of grid from wind rather than absolute GW. As i understand it, the nuclear fleet (if it still qualifies as a 'fleet'), doesn't/didn't help with frequency stability as that option wasn't installed. So could we end up with a few Gw fossil for stability and higher % wind?
450W hydro-electric
5110W pv
1.3kw Wt2 - not yet producing
6kWh lead acid - maybe 1kwh useable
LiMnCo battery made from 2nd hand hybrid car modules 3.6kwh nominal 24v.
300lt hot water tank and two storage heaters
ASHP Grant Aerona 3 10.5kw and UFH

I've just done a number crunch using Gridwatch data over the past 5 years to include COVID lockdowns in case there was a weird extra low demand day. (nowtyrecord for searching)

Highest Wind V Demand, choosing just the highest on each individual day was,
62.51 % @ 2023-01-05 22:55:39
62.50 % @ 2023-01-11 03:40:41
61.94 % @ 2023-01-06 00:20:40
61.84 % @ 2023-01-08 00:35:39
61.74 % @ 2023-01-14 23:45:40
61.61 % @ 2023-01-15 01:35:39
61.41 % @ 2022-12-30 03:40:41

Highest today and looked like with some curtailment to me, with Storm Otto was,
58.85 % @ 2023-02-17 05:30:42

So we now have some data to compare for a future record.
(nowtyrecord for searching)
Its only a matter of time but I don't think we will have one till the next storm passes.

Yes it's all a bit woolly when it's mild.
Just so you know, the BM Reports portal your viewing that on is getting killed off this year.

Midday (GMT) generation today around 8.47GW verses the record of 9.89GW set midday (GMT) on 22/04/2021.
(nowtyrecord for searching)
So we are due for one.
https://www.solar.sheffield.ac.uk/pvlive/

Edit - The max solar today has been revised upwards to 8.56GW.
