Ah. so were both active & "in build" negotiated together in anticipation? ..sorry, this has eluded my understanding to date.

I doubt WT2 price will have been negotiated yet, it's still showing the first year savings rate as 6.4p/kWh.
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
100 x 47mm Navitron tubes (still being installed!) Now likely to be removed for more PV.

That's why I was confused Fin, thought that as the new WT2 turbs are technically due late 2023, testing / bedding in over 3? months the start price may have been synced to WT1 to avoid some basic problems, ..as for slow change implementation on the ripple site, marketing has all the stealth & speed of a giant tortoise painted in day-glo colours.

Original text displayed price it is then, shame there's a nice PR / scheme advertising hypermiling sitting there if utilised properly (shakes head despairingly)

We got very lucky with the 27p / kWh for WT1, in fact the gross amount may be around 30p / kWh before operating costs have been taken off.

Current year ahead prices are now around 15p / kWh so I expect WT2 rebate to be around 12p / kWh unless something else breaks in the energy market. https://zenergi.co.uk/market-watch/

Because of the falls, I had previously calculated that below a gross 24p / kWh, the Electricity Generator Levy (renewables windfall tax) for WT2 would be zero. https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 030#p25918

I hadn't noticed the good blow today until I saw your post, financial PB for sure today. I'm on my last 3 days of Octopus IO at 7.5p cheap rate which was ok with the 9.6p old rate rebate.

My IO cheap rate is rising to 10p / kWh but now with the WT1 rebate already at 27p / kWh.

From Ripple FAQ's,

"Do I get free electricity?
No, the electricity from your wind farm or solar park isn't free but it should be a lot cheaper. You need to pay operating costs, as well as grid charges, levies, taxes and supply costs associated with your tariff. Costs and savings will vary by project. Details of the estimated cost and savings will be set out in the share offer document."

Here at Nowty Towers I don't recognise that statement at all, and that's even before Kirk Hill comes online.

Although the high generation rate was not sustained, it still was a financial PB, about £10 for me which only about half is required for tonight's splurge on the cheapslot.

Best days return here too. Unfortunately storage batts exhausted by 20.00 so, on the face of it, a cost for the day of 95p incurred.
On the plus side a neighbour charged his hybrid with us via the CoCharger App with a return of £2.70 so easing the pain somewhat.
